The shape of the blade takes its inspiration from our successful AJAX chef’s knife. With the new interpretation of the AJAX blade shape, whose design dates back to the 1930s, we have once again succeeded in balancing tradition and modernity. The modern ‘Bauhaus’ style was already the leading style of the 1920s onwards. The stylistic language and functionality are defining elements of the design. This is clearly reflected in the shaping and the clear line of our steak and table knife’s handle, with its emphasis on puristic industrial design.

FOR LASTING ENJOYMENT

All knives lose sharpness over time, especially when used on porcelain. But the specially designed curved blade shape means that only a small part of the cutting edge is ever in contact with the surface, without the entire cutting edge being damaged. But should the cutting edge nevertheless lose sharpness after some time, you can very easily resharpen the smooth cutting edge yourself. Simply use the same sharpening tool as you do for your chef’s knives.

So there is no need of a knife rest for your used knife to stop your table or other surfaces from getting dirty. Because we use high-grade steel, our knives are dishwasher-safe. This method of cleaning is far more aggressive than hand washing, however. We therefore advise washing by hand whenever possible.
